Jimbo Advisory Solutions Hub will operate as a non-profit organization that will develop and
implement Jimbo App, a one-stop integrated platform that will help senior citizens and veterans
in the U.S. to re-enter the job market after retirement or military service. Jimbo Advisory
Solutions Hub's mission is to engage retired senior citizens, veterans, and people with
disabilities.
All volunteer senior citizens and veterans will be able to register on the platform as ‘service
providers/advisors' based on their past experience and areas of expertise. The service providers
will provide free of charge advice and solutions to service requestors. The service requestors
will be any individual that needs free expert advice from seniors or veterans. The platform will
bring many benefits to service providers, including self-realization and the feeling that they
are still needed and an essential part of the society, a sense of active life, and satisfaction
from helping others.
Retired Senior Citizens and Veterans need to be brought back into the real-life
engagement. Jimbo Advisory Solutions Hub will provide that opportunity for YOU, helping YOU
avoid the feeling of loneliness and be engaged in society. YOU will be able to provide your
advice and share your expertise as service provider (or receive support as service requestor) in
the Company's free platform.
Older persons play important social roles in assisting their children, taking on care
responsibilities, performing household tasks, or working as volunteers in the community. Their
contributions to providing wisdom and advice to younger generations and society as a whole
should be acknowledged.
Love each other, promote dignity and respect, support and help are what we need to think about
and exercise in real life, we respect our elders and veterans for what they have done for the
Country, Society and Families.
God Bless You All!
The idea that turned into the Programme of non-profit organization to support and promote our
Senior Citizens and Veterans to re-engage to the Society after retirement and military service
and be involved to the need of the society.
We need you!
Jimbo Advisory Solutions Hub's service providers will provide advice and solutions related to their areas of expertise to people of all ages in the U.S. (service requesters). The service providers will provide advice related to housing, health, employment, finance, immigration, banking, education, and family issues, among others.
Jimbo Advisory Solutions Hub will develop and implement Jimbo App, a website platform that will provide Senior Citizens and Veterans with an opportunity to RE-ENTER the job market and RE-ENGAGE in society after retirement or military service. Jimbo Advisory Solutions Hub will contact and cooperate with well-established employers of different industries to hire qualified unemployed veterans to their companies. Furthermore, the platform will focus on the interactive engagement of Senior Citizens and Veterans (called 'SERVICE PROVIDERS') in providing free of charge advice and key solutions to all people (SERVICE REQUESTORS). Once seniors are registered on the platform as service providers, they will be able to select their service requestors and communicate with them to provide practical advice and solutions for free. The service providers will be able to conduct research on their fields of expertise and then re-contact the service requestor to provide more comprehensive advice until the service requestor is fully satisfied. The color green on the platform will mean that the service providers are available, while the color red will mean that they are busy. Service providers registered on Jimbo Advisory Solutions Hub's platform will be able to provide advice related to the following spheres of expertise:
The website platform will be free for all; however, the service requestor will be able to make a financial contribution of any amount in the website's contribution box to keep the website functional and support more seniors and veterans.
This project is envisioned to resolve unemployment issues for veterans, senior citizens and people with disability. The Jimbo Advisory Solutions project team, consisting of a workforce of senior citizens and veterans (e.g., retired HR managers and specialists and recruiters), will be tasked with contacting and cooperating with well-established employers in different spheres in order to help them hire qualified unemployed veterans and senior citizens. The Company's team of professionals will highlight to the employer the skills and respective experience of the veterans and seniors, along with their high sense of responsibility to the job and robust discipline to carry out assignments and successful achievements of the results. For people with a disability, special work conditions will be agreed upon with the employer ahead of the engagement.
Retired senior citizens can have a significant role in the workforce. Retirees and seniors
often possess traits and job skills that can make them
excellent employees. Even those who have already retired are re-entering the workforce for
financial security or to stave off boredom. Studies conducted by the American Association of
Retired Persons found that older workers ranked higher than their younger counterparts in
the following areas:
- Reliability and a strong work ethic: This includes punctuality, maturity, a
willingness and eagerness to learn, and a strong commitment to quality.
- Varied work experience: Many seniors and retirees have a broad-based career
background, which enables them to bring a wide variety of experience to their roles.
- Lower absenteeism: Contrary to popular belief, older employees usually have
excellent attendance records because they rarely miss work for the myriad personal and
family reasons that younger and middle-aged workers often do.
- More job loyalty: Another myth about seniors and retirees is that they will
not stay on the job for very long. They tend to be much less likely than younger workers to
job hop and look for other opportunities for relatively insignificant pay raises.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and a positive attitude: Still another
misconception about seniors is that they are hesitant or even resistant to learn new
technologies and ways of doing things. Some studies have shown that seniors and retirees are among the
fastest-growing demographic of social media users and online communities, as well as
adopters of new technologies such as laptop and tablet PCs and handheld devices.
- Strong people and customer service skills: While this is obviously not true of
every individual, as a group, seniors and retirees tend to interact well with customers and
their co-workers due to their many years of experience in resolving conflict and working
with others.
- One often overlooked benefit of hiring seniors and retirees is that they can
help companies save on health insurance costs because many of them receive Medicare
benefits. Also, seniors and retirees tend to use fewer medical services than some other age
groups; parents with young children, for example, are the most frequent users of medical
benefits.
In addition, senior citizens need support. The Company will provide support and benefits for
the Senior Citizens (under retirement age) for all their needs.
Findings show that the benefits of hiring people with disabilities include improvements in profitability (e.g., profits and cost-effectiveness, turnover and retention, reliability and punctuality, employee loyalty, company image), competitive advantages (e.g., diverse customers, customer loyalty and satisfaction, innovation, productivity, work ethic, safety), inclusive work culture, and ability awareness. Secondary benefits for people with disabilities included improved quality of life and income, enhanced self-confidence, expanded social network, and a sense of community.
Veterans add incredible value to the workplace. A former member of the armed forces has a
unique and powerful skillset that can greatly benefit any company they work for. Below are
eight skills veterans have that can improve a variety of work environments.
1. Leadership:
The military trains veterans to accept and execute responsibility for resources,
tasks, and their own behavior. This special training consists of inspiring leadership in
others and motivating others, setting examples, delegating tasks, and giving clear and
detailed directions. Additionally, veterans work in a highly team-oriented and hierarchical
environment. Therefore, they know how to take orders and when to give them.
2. Teamwork:
Camaraderie is a crucial part of the military experience. Veterans spend years
cooperating with and relying on their team members to stay safe and complete important
tasks. As a result, veterans understand the value of teamwork and how diverse people can
work together to achieve goals. They know that teamwork grows from a sense of shared
responsibility for the betterment of the team and organization.
3. Strong Work Ethic:
A military-trained candidate should receive serious consideration. Through service,
training, and lifestyle, former military personnel typically have the work ethic desired in
any employee. Veterans take ownership of their actions. They have learned how to take charge
of the duties assigned to them and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
4. Core values:
Veterans have a proven track record of trustworthiness and live by a strong code of
ethics and core values. All adhere to the same basic principles: Commitment, integrity,
accountability, loyalty, and service before self. Veterans understand the importance of
these principles in building a strong team. They also bring an intrinsic understanding of
how loyalty adds to team proficiency and builds trust in a work environment.
5. Ability to handle stressful situations:
Veterans must perform their jobs under some of the most stressful situations
imaginable. Military personnel are required to set priorities, accomplish missions, and meet
schedules daily. With this responsibility comes added pressure and stress, but veterans are
trained to handle these factors in constructive ways. That means veterans are less likely to
crack under pressure, even on the busiest or most stressful days in the workplace.
6. Self-direction and motivation:
The rigorous training military members receive produces highly motivated employees who
set high goals for themselves and achieve them. They learn how to work toward efficiency,
ask for guidance when needed, and exercise self-discipline in professional settings.
Veterans know how to analyze and resolve difficult and complex problems without constant
guidance from supervisors—they are self-starters who are driven to get the job done right
the first time.
7. Diversity and inclusion:
Veterans represent many different backgrounds and appreciate working with all types of
people regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, and sexual orientation, as well as
mental, physical, and attitudinal capabilities. They possess the sensitivity to cooperate
with many different types of people. Additionally, many military veterans speak more than
one language, have traveled extensively, and understand the nuances of international
communication.
8. Technology and globalization:
Military personnel use some of the most sophisticated technology in the world. Working
in the armed forces requires a high degree of technological skill and education to keep up
with increasingly complex systems. Military members are among the first to adopt new
technology. Furthermore, because of their experience, veterans are often aware of
international and technical trends relating to business and can bring both technological
savvy and a global outlook to any company.
